Experience
As Managing Director of My Midwives, I lead and support our team in delivering high-quality, relationship-based maternity care. My role focuses on strengthening our services, guiding the organisation’s direction and creating an environment where midwives can thrive while providing women and families with consistent, personalised support.
My leadership is grounded in more than two decades of midwifery experience across hospital, community and private practice settings. This includes continuity-of-care roles at Caboolture Hospital and the Birth Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. I commenced private practice in 2012 and joined My Midwives as a Director in 2015.
My time as Midwifery Clinical Manager with the Birthing in Our Community team also strengthened my commitment to culturally safe, respectful and accessible maternity care. These experiences continue to shape how I lead My Midwives and advocate for care that places women and families at its centre.
Midwifery Interest
I am passionate about building strong maternity services that enable women to feel heard, informed and confident in their choices. I believe exceptional care begins with trust and genuine connection—both between midwives and families and within the teams delivering that care.
Personal Interest
Family is an important part of my life. I love spending time with my husband, our three adult children and their partners, and especially my twin grandsons. I also enjoy camping, water skiing, going to the gym, reading, sewing and finding the occasional quiet moment to myself.
